Closed Hole Flute with Silver Plated Headjoint, Body & Keys, C foot, and Offset G. Considered a beginner/student flute. 

On Yamaha student flute models: Yamaha student flutes are great instruments, often getting a better sound than intermediate model flutes made by their competitors. If I were to recommend a beginner flute model, a Yamaha 200 series flute would be it. The 225SII and Advantage series (FL1) are now called model "221 and 200AD" - they are nearly identical to these models and all parts are interchangeable. The model 221 and 200AD sell for between $800 and $900 new. The latest model, 222 (released in early 2017), has an upgraded cosmetic design as Yamaha has added "french pointed key arms" (doesn't change sound or playability)- These are currently selling for $950-$1000 through major retailers (Sam Ash, Woodwind & Brasswind, Music & Arts, etc.). Any of these models are very suitable student instruments! The only Yamaha student flutes I would not recommend are the 225S and 22 as these are quite old- upgrades to the design were made following these models. 

As with all of my flutes, these flutes have been cleaned and serviced such that they play perfectly with the lightest touch!
