The Yamaha 'Allegro' series are upgraded versions of their intermediate level instruments (in this case, the Yamaha 450). These higher quality 'step up' instruments are for the progressing student and will serve well for many years. The 550 has professional level features and qualities, but still remains cost efficient. This model has many great features:

 - Made in Japan with Yamaha's signature quality and attention to detail
 - Full Grenadilla wood body (This one is beautiful!)
 - Adjustable thumb rest with neck strap hook
 - Gold plated key posts (for style)
 - Undercut tone holes for great intonation
 - Resonance chamber in the bell (for a bigger sound)
 - Needle springs for quick key action
 - Yamaha 5C mouthpiece, cleaning and polishing rags, and cork grease included


There are two (2) NEW clarinets available- they are 'new old stock' instruments. They've been play tested (yes, new instruments require play testing too!) and are ready to go!

For reference, brand new Yamaha 450 clarinets (a step down from this) are going for around $1400, so this is a steal!
